Terms of use

MixLat is free to use. By using it you agree to these terms. They are short, because the site never receives your files.

The service

MixLat provides PDF tools that run in your web browser. It is offered free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be removed at any time.

Your documents, your responsibility

You are responsible for the documents you process and for having the right to use them. Your files are processed on your own device and we never receive them, so we cannot recover lost files or results.

Keep a copy of your original files, and check every result before you rely on it or share it.

Good to know about specific tools

  • Redaction permanently removes the content under the boxes, but review the whole result before you share a sensitive document.
  • Digital signatures: a self-signed certificate proves that a document has not changed since it was signed, not who signed it. Whether an electronic signature is legally valid depends on your country and the type of document.
  • PDF/A conversion and the accessibility checker help you meet these standards but are not a certification. For formal compliance, confirm the result with a dedicated validator or an expert.
  • Text recognition (OCR), conversions, Smart Redact and the summarizer are automatic and can make mistakes.
  • If you protect a PDF with a password and lose it, nobody can recover it, including us.

Acceptable use

Don’t use MixLat to break the law or anyone’s rights, for example to forge documents or signatures, or to remove protection from files you are not entitled to open.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MixLat and its authors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site, including lost data, incorrect results, or decisions made based on them.

Open-source components

MixLat includes open-source software, each part under its own license.
