Privacy & how it works
MixLat is a set of PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser. Your files never leave your device: there is no upload, no server that sees your documents, and no account.
Your files
When you pick a file, your browser reads it from your disk into memory. Merging, compressing, converting, OCR, signing and every other tool run as code on your own computer. The results are created in memory and saved to your device when you download them.
We never receive, store or see your documents, their names, or anything you type into a tool, such as passwords, signatures or form values.
What the site downloads
Your browser downloads the app itself from this site: code, fonts and, when you first use them, OCR language models. Nothing is loaded from other companies, and no file content is ever sent back.
A strict security policy (Content-Security-Policy) tells your browser to block connections to any other server, so even a bug could not send your files elsewhere.
What is stored on your device
A few things are saved in your browser so the site works better. They stay on this device and are never sent to us:
- Your language choice.
- Workflows you save.
- An offline copy of the app, so the tools work without an internet connection.
Cookies, tracking and ads
There are no ads and no accounts, and the site sets no cookies.
To know how many people use each tool, we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies or identify you. It receives the page address and your browser type, never your files, file names or anything you type.
Check it yourself
You do not have to take our word for it:
- Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and process a file. You will see no upload.
- Load a tool, then turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data. The tool keeps working, because everything happens on your device.
- Look at the page source: the Content-Security-Policy only allows connections to this site.
Deleting your data
Because nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove what is saved in your browser, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
